Supreme Court Agrees To Hear Rezulin Case

Law360, New York (September 25, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to hear an appeal brought by Pfizer Inc. that raises questions over whether federal regulations exempt drug companies from state product liability claims.

On Tuesday, the High Court granted cert to Pfizer's appeal in a product liability case brought by people who claim they were harmed by taking the diabetes drug Rezulin before it was pulled from the market in March 2000.
