Tribune Will Get Decision On Ch. 11 Plan By Fri., Judge Says

Law360, Wilmington (July 11, 2012, 1:52 PM EDT) -- A Delaware bankruptcy judge said Wednesday he would issue his decision on Tribune Co.’s reorganization plan by the end of the week, hinting that the media giant would be cleared to end its marathon stint in Chapter 11.

At a court hearing in Wilmington, Del., U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Kevin J. Carey pointed out two minor objections to the plan that were holding up his decision, one involving the treatment of indemnity claims filed by former employees and the other concerning discovery rights of the plan litigation...
