2 British Journalists Arrested In News Corp. Corruption Probe

Law360, New York (July 11, 2012, 3:35 PM EDT) -- Two British journalists suspected of bribing a public official were arrested Wednesday in connection with an ongoing investigation into allegations of phone hacking and inappropriate payments at News Corp.'s British publishing arm News International, the Metropolitan Police Service said.

One of those arrested was Justin Penrose, who has been the Sunday Mirror's crime correspondent since 2006, Trinity Mirror PLC said.

“We are cooperating fully with the police,” a spokesman for the publisher said. The other man was not identified.
