Calif. Judge Blocks San Diego Pension Reform For Now

Law360, New York (July 11, 2012, 8:13 PM EDT) -- A California state judge on Tuesday issued a temporary restraining order blocking implementation of a voter-approved pension reform initiative in San Diego that would set up a 401(k)-type retirement plan for most new city employees.

Judge Luis R. Vargas granted a temporary restraining order requested by California's Public Employment Relations Board that bars implementation of the Comprehensive Pension Reform Initiative until July 27, when the court will review the issue again, according to the order.
