Shaw Gussis Atty Steps Into Peregrine Ch. 7 Trustee Role

Law360, New York (July 11, 2012, 9:31 PM EDT) -- The day-old bankruptcy of reeling Chicago futures broker Peregrine Financial Group Inc. received a new Chapter 7 trustee Wednesday after the attorney originally appointed to the case abruptly resigned.

Allan J. DeMars of Chicago firm Spiegel and DeMars stepped down as trustee Wednesday, one day after being assigned to the Peregrine case, and was replaced by Ira Bodenstein, a former U.S. trustee and current member at Shaw Gussis Fishman Glantz Wolfson & Towbin LLC.
