Draka-Comteq Sues Furukawa Units Over Fiber Optics

Law360, New York (September 26, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Optical fiber and cabling company Draka-Comteq Americas Inc. is accusing two subsidiaries of its rival The Furukawa Electric Co. Ltd. of infringing eight patents through their manufacture, use and sale of optical fibers and fiber-optical cables.

On Tuesday, Draka-Comteq filed a lawsuit against Furukawa Electric North America Inc. and OFS Fitel Inc. in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
