Novartis Accused Of Forum Shopping In Lamisil Case

Law360, New York (September 26, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Texas woman suing Novartis for “devastating injuries” she claims were caused by the drug giant's antifungal medication, Lamisil, has fought moves to have the case transferred to her home state.

Plaintiff Cordella Yocham, who alleges she suffered a form of the disfiguring Steven-Johnson Syndrome as a result of taking Lamisil, claims New Jersey is the proper venue for the lawsuit because it's the home of the company's headquarters, the state in which the drug was developed and the place in which clinical trials were conducted....
