Oracle Loses Fight Over Trial Date In SAP Suit

Law360, New York (September 26, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A California federal judge has rejected Oracle Corp.'s request for a September 2009 trial date of its trade secrets suit against SAP AG despite the Silicon Valley company's pleas that the late date was needed to complete complicated discovery.

Judge Martin Jenkins set Feb. 9, 2009 as the start date for a four-week trial during the lawsuit's first case management conference on Wednesday, SAP said. In the case, Oracle is accusing its German rival and its subsidiary TomorrowNow Inc. of repeated unauthorized access to Oracle's Web...
