Sanyo, Vizio, Others Infringe Circuitry Patents, Freescale Says

Law360, New York (July 17, 2012, 2:00 PM EDT) -- Chip maker Freescale Semiconductor Inc. alleged Monday in Texas federal court that televisions made by four electronics companies, including Sanyo Electric Co. Ltd. and Vizio Inc., infringe a set of circuitry patents Freescale owns.

Austin, Texas-based Freescale filed separate suits against Sanyo, Vizio, Funai Electric Co. Ltd. and TPV Technology Ltd., saying the electronics companies each make and sell televisions that infringe two to four of Freescale's patents.
