Wireless Network Co. FiberTower Files Prepack Ch. 11

Law360, New York (July 17, 2012, 10:50 PM EDT) -- Wireless network provider FiberTower Corp. and several subsidiaries filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection Tuesday in Texas, listing $211 million in liabilities and proposing a reorganization plan that would restructure the company around its legacy wireless data transport network.

The San Francisco-based company hopes to eliminate its long-term debt with its reorganization plan and emerge as a stronger business centered around its legacy backhaul network as well as its spectrum services and carrier services, it said.
