Bridgestone Unit Wants Out Of Marine Hose Suit

Law360, New York (September 28, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Bridgestone Corp. executive and one of the company's subsidiaries are fighting for an early dismissal from a proposed class action lawsuit that accuses them and other marine hose manufacturers of fixing prices, rigging bids and allocating markets in the United States.

In a motion to dismiss filed Thursday with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, Bridgestone Industrial Products America Inc. said it was only included in the suit because of its corporate relationship with its parent company.
