Judge Tosses Environmental Fee Claims In Hertz Fraud Suit

Law360, New York (July 19, 2012, 6:41 PM EDT) -- A New Jersey federal judge on Thursday threw out a portion of a proposed class action against Hertz Equipment Rental Corp. over damage waiver fees, ruling that the plaintiffs failed to show that the environmental recovery fee Hertz charged customers violated the state's consumer fraud laws.
