'Minecraft' Game Developer Sued For Patent Infringement

Law360, New York (July 23, 2012, 5:29 PM EDT) -- Uniloc Luxembourg SA on Friday sued Swedish independent video game developer Mojang AB, the creator of the popular game "Minecraft," in Texas federal court, alleging that it infringed a Uniloc patent covering data security technology.

Uniloc and its American patent licensee, Uniloc USA Inc., said in the complaint that Mojang violated the technology protected by U.S. Patent Number 6,857,067.
