Judge Pushes $63M Davis Polk Rent Row Closer To Arbitration

Law360, New York (July 24, 2012, 2:37 PM EDT) -- A New York state judge on Tuesday cut through many of the issues holding up resolution of a $63 million rent fight between Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP and the landlord of its midtown Manhattan offices, as the two sides gear up for a September arbitration.

Judge Shirley Werner Kornreich ruled during a hearing Tuesday that the non-neutral arbitrators appointed by each side can testify at the September arbitration before a neutral third arbitrator, gave the landlord access to Davis Polk's offices to remeasure the space,...
