Judge Kills Protest Over $41M Navy Contract

Law360, New York (July 25, 2012, 12:32 PM EDT) -- A federal judge on Tuesday dismissed GSC Construction Inc.'s challenge to a scathing review of its $41.5 million U.S. Navy contract to build a medical clinic in South Carolina, ruling the firm hadn't properly protested the review through administrative channels before suing.

U.S. Court of Federal Claims Judge Lawrence M. Baskir said GSC acted prematurely when it sent a letter March 18, 2011, complaining about the "marginal" rating it was set to receive after seeing a Feb. 23, 2011, draft evaluation.
