Drake's Managers Sued By Man Who Discovered Performer

Law360, New York (July 27, 2012, 8:06 PM EDT) -- A man who claims he discovered R&B artist Drake sued the performer's managers in New York state court Tuesday, alleging that they breached an agreement that entitled him to a share of the profits resulting from Drake's meteoric career.

James “Jas” Prince and his company Young Empire Music Group LLC accused manager Cortez Bryant and others of cutting him out of the action despite a series of agreements by which Prince was to receive a share of the profits associated with Drake's later dealings with Bryant....
