Court Allows San Diego Pension System Overhaul To Proceed

Law360, San Diego (August 1, 2012, 5:04 PM EDT) -- A California state court on Tuesday rejected a state government board's attempt to halt an initiative that will scale back public workers’ retirement benefits, which was overwhelmingly approved by San Diego voters in June.

After a temporary restraining order blocking San Diego from implementing Proposition B expired on Friday, Judge Luis Vargas decided not to grant an extension of the ban.
