Fired News Director Of NY's WPIX Loses Age Bias Suit

Law360, New York (August 1, 2012, 9:21 PM EDT) -- A federal jury on Wednesday rejected an age discrimination lawsuit that a former WPIX Inc. news director brought after the New York television station allegedly replaced her with a younger hire.

An eight-person jury decided Karen Scott had not met her burden under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and New York state and city human rights laws.
