Court Boots Texas' $1M Judgment In Condemnation Case

Law360, New York (August 3, 2012, 3:59 PM EDT) -- A Texas appeals court on Thursday reversed a nearly $1 million jury award against the state in a land condemnation case, ruling the jury charge was improperly worded and sending the dispute back to trial court.

The suit stems from the state condemning two parcels of land belonging to an apartment complex owned by Colonia Tepeyac Ltd. to construct a flyover for a Dallas highway.
