No Deal In Sight In Dish's DVR Copyright Fight With Networks

Law360, New York (August 3, 2012, 8:39 PM EDT) -- Dish Network Corp. is nowhere near any kind of settlement with networks that claim its new ad-skipping digital video recorder infringes their copyrights, attorneys for the networks told a New York federal judge Friday.

ABC Inc., CBS. Corp., and NBCUniversal Media LLC claim that the video recorder, called the Hopper DVR, saps their revenue, and, at this point at least, do not see the value in talking, their lawyers told U.S. District Judge Laura Taylor Swain.
