Starbucks Fires Back In 2nd Circ. Battle Over Charbucks Coffee

Law360, New York (August 7, 2012, 1:09 PM EDT) -- Starbucks Corp. struck back Friday at Wolfe's Borough Coffee Inc. in a trademark dilution fight in the Second Circuit, arguing it was well-established that Wolfe had intended to associate its Charbucks coffee blend with Starbucks.

In Starbucks' reply brief seeking to have the court overturn the coffee giant's loss in its trademark suit against the two-employee Wolfe's, the plaintiff also argued that the district court erred when it limited its analysis of the “Starbucks” trademark to similarity and association.
