Hub Claims 2 Ex-Employees Stole Trade Secrets For Rival

Law360, New York (August 7, 2012, 1:37 PM EDT) -- Insurance broker Hub International Midwest Ltd. on Monday filed a suit in Illinois state court accusing two former employees of breaching employment and nonsolicitation agreements by stealing trade secrets when they joined rival GCG Financial Inc.

In a complaint filed in Cook County Circuit Court, Hub claims Joseph Jonas and Aldo Valencia stole or destroyed client files and other confidential information in an effort to lure Hub’s clients away to GCG, in violation of the Illinois Trade Secrets Act.
