Alchemy Snaps Up 30 Floors Of Woolworth Building For $68M

Law360, New York (August 8, 2012, 6:10 PM EDT) -- An investment group led by New York-based real estate company Alchemy Properties Inc. has acquired the top 30 floors of the iconic Woolworth Building in Manhattan for $68 million and will build superluxury condominiums in the space, Alchemy said Wednesday.

It acquired the condo interest from The Witkoff Group and Rubin Schron's Cammeby's International, Alchemy said. The Witkoff-Cammeby's group will retain ownership of the lower 28 floors of the building to use for leasing commercial office space. The deal closed on July 31.
