6 Pa. Hospital Networks Beat Nurses' Wage, OT Suit

Law360, New York (August 8, 2012, 6:58 PM EDT) -- A Pennsylvania federal judge on Wednesday granted a motion to dismiss six related wage-and-overtime class action suits against six Philadelphia-area hospital operators brought by registered nurses alleging they were not properly compensated for training pre- and post-shift work, and work done during meal breaks.

The six parallel suits targeted Abington Memorial Hospital, Mercy Health System of Southeastern Pennsylvania, Thomas Jefferson Health System Inc., Aria Health System, Albert Einstein Healthcare Network and Temple University Health System.
