Judge Goes Easy On Attorney Couple

Law360, New York (October 5, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a show of mercy, a federal district court judge has declined to force a married attorney couple to serve prison time for insider trading at Morgan Stanley & Co. due to the dire nature of the husband's medical situation.

On Thursday, U.S. District Judge Victor Marrero opted to slap Christopher Collotta and Randi Collotta with three and four years of probation, respectively, citing the former's serious health issues as the main reason for the leniency.
