Texas Southern Sues Architect Over Student Center Defects

Law360, New York (August 9, 2012, 7:01 PM EDT) -- Texas Southern University sued an architectural firm and its contractor affiliates in state court Wednesday, claiming the companies were negligent in designing and building a student recreation center that has since been besieged by costly cracks and leaks.

Kennedy Associates/Architects Inc. and its affiliates allegedly failed to properly design and construct certain key foundational elements of the building, which is sited on TSU's Houston campus.
