Alpine Health Faces Suit Over Unsolicited Fax Ads

Law360, New York (August 9, 2012, 4:17 PM EDT) -- An Illinois pharmacy slapped Alpine Health LLC with a putative class action in federal court Thursday, accusing the pharmaceutical distributor of violating the Telephone Consumer Protection Act by sending unsolicited fax advertisements to businesses around the state.

Glen Ellyn Pharmacy Inc. said it has received multiple Alpine advertisements, which the pharmacy believes is part of a mass campaign of unsolicited faxes sent by the distributor, according to the suit.
