Visa Asks Again For Amex's "Cannibalization" Data

Law360, New York (October 8, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Arguing that American Express had no reason not to produce data on its cardholders, Visa USA Inc. on Friday continued to contend that a magistrate judge's decision to free American Express from Visa's discovery requests was wrong.

Visa and MasterCard Inc. are currently being sued over allegations that their member banks implemented and enforced illegal exclusionary agreements that made any bank that issued Visa and MasterCard credit and debit cards refuse to issue Amex cards as well.
