Vioxx Appeal Imperils Merck MDL Deals, 5th Circ. Hears

Law360, New York (August 10, 2012, 7:38 PM EDT) -- The Product Liability Advisory Council Inc. warned the Fifth Circuit on Thursday that allowing plaintiffs in a $220 million class action against Merck & Co. Inc. to pursue certain Vioxx product liability claims would threaten the permanence of multidistrict litigation settlements.
