Muslim Ex-Disney Worker Says Head Scarf Cost Her A Job

Law360, New York (August 13, 2012, 6:25 PM EDT) -- A former Walt Disney Co. employee of Muslim faith on Monday sued the company on allegations that her supervisors violated anti-discrimination laws, claiming she was told that she could not wear her head scarf while working at Disney’s Storytellers Cafe in Anaheim, Calif.

Imane Boudlal, an American woman of Moroccan origin, says she endured harassment while working as a hostess at the restaurant and was fired after two years because of her head scarf, known as a hijab.
