Bulgari's IP Suit Says Rival Copied Jewelry Designs

Law360, New York (August 14, 2012, 7:11 PM EDT) -- Bulgari SpA on Monday accused fellow jeweler Kenneth Jay Lane Inc. of selling jewelry pieces that copy Bulgari's distinctive designs, alleging copyright and patent infringement in New York federal court.

Bulgari in its complaint alleged that Kenneth Jay Lane is selling a ring and a bracelet that each bear a distinct resemblance to Bulgari's original pieces, saying that the company's sale of the allegedly imitative pieces constitutes infringement.
