Universal Settles 'Battleship' Rip-Off Claims

Law360, New York (August 17, 2012, 12:06 PM EDT) -- Universal Studios Inc. on Tuesday won California federal court approval to settle its allegations that film production company The Global Asylum Inc. violated copyright laws with its plan to release an alleged knockoff of the Universal movie “Battleship.”
