US Joins FCA Suit Over Off-Label Vein Treatments

Law360, New York (August 15, 2012, 7:24 PM EDT) -- A judge on Tuesday unsealed an False Claims Act case alleging that Vascular Solutions Inc. defrauded Medicare, Medicaid and other government health programs out of $20 million through kickbacks and off-label promotion of its endovenous laser therapy products, after the U.S. government decided to intervene in the suit.
