Texas Agency To Evaluate $240M Austin Museum Proposal

Law360, New York (August 16, 2012, 5:53 PM EDT) -- The Texas Facilities Commission ordered a conceptual evaluation of a proposed $240 million science museum development in Austin by a public-private partnership group, the group announced Wednesday.

The Austin Planetarium, a nonprofit organization formed to advance the museum development, said that the TFC voted unanimously to have its planning and real estate division perform the evaluation of the group's unsolicited proposal, which would turn a currently unused lot in downtown Austin into the largest planetarium in Texas.
