Writer Claims Hallmark Stole TV Movie Idea In $7M Suit

Law360, New York (August 16, 2012, 9:54 PM EDT) -- An Emmy-nominated screenwriter lodged a $7 million trademark infringement suit in California on Wednesday, alleging Hallmark Hall of Fame Productions Inc. pinched his idea for a Christmas movie involving an angel's gift of wings for use in an upcoming TV movie.

In a complaint filed in California federal court, Brad Wigor claims Hallmark and production company McGee Street Productions Inc. stole his idea for a TV movie about a troubled teen who is given wings by an angel and uses them to for good during Christmas....
