Farmers Insurance Ruling Could Help Keep Class Actions Alive

Law360, San Diego (August 17, 2012, 11:24 PM EDT) -- A California appeals court held Thursday that the trial judge who tossed a class action against Farmers Insurance Exchange should have considered whether it was impracticable for the case to proceed while a related action was on appeal, giving plaintiffs in drawn-out class actions another argument to save their cases from dismissal, attorneys say.
