Plaintiffs Appeal Ruling In BP Crude Oil Futures Case

Law360, New York (October 10, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Investors that accused BP America Inc. of manipulating the price of crude oil futures and options contracts have decided to fight a district court decision to toss their complaint, notifying the court that they will appeal to the U.S Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

In a motion filed Oct. 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, plaintiffs notified the court that they would appeal a June 29 decision that granted BP's motion to dismiss the consolidated amended complaint....
