Arctic Zero Hit With False Ad Suit Over Calorie Count

Law360, New York (August 23, 2012, 2:34 PM EDT) -- Frozen dessert maker Arctic Zero Inc. was struck with a putative class action in California federal court Tuesday from a disgruntled consumer who is accusing the company of deceiving consumers about the calorie content of its products.

Testing from independent food laboratories have confirmed that Arctic Zero dessert items contain up to 68 percent more calories than advertised, discrediting the company's claims that its products provide customers with a "low-calorie, healthy food choice," according to the suit.
