Chet Baker Estate Loses Bid To Nix Movie Option Suit

Law360, Los Angeles (August 24, 2012, 8:08 PM EDT) -- A California judge on Friday refused to throw out claims that the family and estate of trumpeter Chet Baker breached a contract optioning the rights to the musician's life story for a film, saying the defendants waited too long to challenge Joss Communications Inc.'s complaint.
