Car Owner Seeks Class Cert. In Toyota Financing Case

Law360, New York (August 27, 2012, 3:20 PM EDT) -- A woman who alleges Toyota Financial Services Americas Corp. prevented her from making late payments before the company repossessed her car asked a Massachusetts federal judge Friday to certify a class of affected consumers.

Erica Wilder sought certification of a class who purchased cars and arranged financing through TFSA, were subject to repossession for default and had their accounts closed before repossession occurred, preventing the default from being cured.
