Samsung Accused Of Selling Faulty Washing Machines

Law360, New York (August 27, 2012, 6:51 PM EDT) -- Samsung Electronics America Inc. on Friday was hit with a proposed class action in New Jersey federal court alleging it sells defective washing machines that fail to spin, drain and clean clothes properly.

Plaintiff Robert Durso claims Samsung knew about the alleged problems — which also include display malfunctions, an inability to wash large items, pump failure, mildew smells, accumulation of metal in the hose, and premature disintegration of rubber components — and concealed them from consumers.
