Dunmore Owner Sanctioned In $20M Travelers Bond Row

Law360, New York (August 27, 2012, 7:13 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Monday sanctioned the former owner of bankrupt Dunmore Homes Inc. for fighting an order to turn over personal tax information to Travelers Casualty and Surety Co. of America, which is seeking to recoup $20 million in bond guarantees.

U.S. District Judge Lawrence K. Karlton sanctioned Sidney B. Dunmore about $8,500, representing costs that Travelers incurred while defending against Dunmore’s rejected March 9 motion for reconsideration regarding the tax documents.
