Wells Fargo Nailed With OT Suit From Loan Underwriter

Law360, New York (August 30, 2012, 9:44 PM EDT) -- A former loan underwriter hit Wells Fargo Bank NA with a proposed class and collective action in California federal court Tuesday, accusing the bank of failing to pay proper overtime wages.

Plaintiff William Wolin alleged that company policy made it impossible for loan underwriters to do their jobs without working significant overtime hours, yet prevented employees from claiming overtime above certain limits, in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act and California labor laws.
