Fed. Circ. Makes Induced Infringement Easier To Prove

Law360, New York (August 31, 2012, 8:47 PM EDT) -- The Federal Circuit ruled en banc Friday that a party can be held liable for induced infringement if it performs some steps of a patent and induces others to perform the remaining steps, a decision that attorneys said represents a significant shift in the law that expands liability for inducement and appears destined for review by the U.S. Supreme Court.
