Texas High Court Vacates $21M Award In Enbridge Land Fight

Law360, New York (August 31, 2012, 6:05 PM EDT) -- The Texas Supreme Court on Friday overturned a $21 million award in favor of a landowner whose property was commandeered by Enbridge Pipelines LP, ruling that the expert who valued the land used faulty methodology.

The decision overturns a lower court's decision that affirmed a judgment settling a dispute over the fair market value of acreage owned by Avinger Timber LLC that was under condemnation by the public utility.
