Acacia Unit Targets Google Street View In Patent Suit

Law360, New York (August 31, 2012, 7:16 PM EDT) -- Acacia Research Corp. subsidiary View 360 Solutions LLC slapped Google Inc. with a lawsuit in New York federal court on Friday, claiming that the Mountain View, Calif.-based search giant's Street View feature infringes eight patents.

View 360 Solutions, headquartered in Frisco, Texas, is asking a federal court to hold that its patents were infringed, award unspecified damages and issue an injunction prohibiting further infringement.
