Epson Seeks Tokio Marine's Coverage In LCD Antitrust MDL

Law360, New York (September 4, 2012, 7:37 PM EDT) -- Epson Electronics America Inc. on Friday hit Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co. Ltd. with a lawsuit seeking coverage for 12 underlying antitrust suits in the wide-ranging multidistrict litigation against liquid crystal display makers.

EEA claims the underlying allegations fall within its general commercial liability policy with Tokio, under the section that provides defense for “personal and advertising injury” caused by an offense committed during the policy period, according to its complaint filed in California federal court.
