Fla. Ruling Fortifies US Courts' Power To Hear Drywall Suits

Law360, New York (September 4, 2012, 8:49 PM EDT) -- A Florida state court ruled in a groundbreaking decision Friday that it has jurisdiction over one of the largest Chinese manufacturers of allegedly defective drywall, creating a road map for homebuilders and homeowners in other parts of the country to hold the company accountable in U.S. state courts.
