AT&T, Motorola, Qualcomm Dodge Wireless Antitrust Suit

Law360, New York (September 5, 2012, 7:59 PM EDT) -- A Mississippi federal judge on Wednesday dismissed allegations that AT&T Inc., Motorola Mobility Inc. and Qualcomm Inc. conspired to push smaller wireless carriers out of the market, saying the local provider that filed the case hadn't included enough evidence to back its claims.

U.S. District Judge Sharion Aycock ruled that Cellular South Inc. — now operating as C Spire Wireless — hadn't shown that AT&T and the phone makers had violated the Sherman Act by cooperating to develop the 3rd Generation Partnership Project wireless standards....
