Rihanna Suit Against Accountants Worth Settling, Judge Says

Law360, New York (September 6, 2012, 7:20 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge on Thursday urged Rihanna to settle a lawsuit claiming her ex-accounting firm, Berdon LLP, took in millions of dollars in “exorbitant” commissions, saying neither side will benefit from protracted litigation.

U.S. District Judge Kevin P. Castel warned at a hearing in Manhattan that he did not expect the suit, which the singer brought in July, to be resolved quickly, since it appears there will be serious factual disputes.
